The John Gray Jubilee will mark 10 years since the Haddington venue opened, while also toasting the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

A day of fun activities for children and special talks for adults is planned on May 28.

The day begins at 10.30am with a jubilee fancy dress Bookbug, followed by a history talk and special author event featuring David Weinczok, who wrote The History Behind Game of Thrones: The North Remembers, half an hour later.

An hour of family and house history takes place from 1pm, then a family interactive storytelling session with Courier columnist Tim Porteus from 2pm.

Neil Fraser, from Historic Environment Scotland, gives a talk from 2pm and there are creative crafts and trails in the library and museum throughout the day.
