Relax Kids classes

New Relax kids classes at John Muir Campus Dunbar, running in partnership with the active schools programme.

Spaces still available.

P1-P3 kids: 15:45 until 16:30

P4-P7 kids: 16:30 until 17:15

Relax Kids classes use research-based techniques to help children recognise their strengths and manage their emotional journey through life. It incorporates movement, games, simple stretches, peer and self massage, breathing exercises, positive affirmation exercises and guidance visualisations and meditations. These techniques provide a toolbox of skills which can be transferred into later life. Working through each of the 7-steps, we take children from a high energy to a low energy, encouraging them to relax, while letting them be creative and imaginative.

Children leave a class feeling calm, confident and positive, with a new set of skills they can use to keep them happy and calm at school and at home.

Relax Kids classes help:

Improve concentration and memory retention / Improve self-confidence and self-esteem / Develop emotional resilience / Stress and anxiety management / Develop self-awareness and the ability to self-soothe & improve sleep.
