Who Remembers The Palace In Sandbach?
The Palace Cinema was opened in June 1929, though it had been designed in a much earlier style. It was independently operated until the early-1960’s, when it became part of the Miles Jervis chain. It was closed in the late-1960’s and became a bingo club, which closed in 1984. It was demolished in late-1984. You may remember it on Congleton Road or even won a few lines & houses later in its life!
