The Macclesfield Roundtable Beer Festival is back for its 26th Year, following a forced two year hiatus due to Covid. Organisers have taken the opportunity to freshen up the festival and re-brand as the Macclesfield Craft Beer and Gin Festival.

The festival will be returning to its home ground at the Macclesfield Rugby Club and will run over the weekend of the 6th and 7th May 2022.

Chose from 200 beers on offer of which 27 are gluten free, 88 ciders, 8 gins paired with quality mixers, red, white and pink wine and of course Prosseco!

In addition to the beer there will be delicious food available ncluding Aberdeen angus burgers, wild boar sausages, steak sandwiches, plant based burgers and jumbo hotdogs. They will also have traditional favourites including locally made pies, and freshly made sandwiches!

The festival is run and staffed by volunteers. All profits raised from the festival are to be donated to these well-deserved local charities and organisations: Rubys Fund, Windyways, Macclesfield Round Table and The Macclesfield Rugby Club Mini and Juniors. All of these are amazing causes and will put the money raised to good use!

The Friday night session starts at 7pm and runs through to 12pm. We have live music from R&D Project and the Chinese Marbles.

The Saturday Night session starts at 7pm and runs through to 12pm. We have live music from Big Jam and The Chester Le Flange Experience.

This year organisers are aiming to encourage more of a family friendly experience. So on the Saturday day session which runs from 12pm until 4pm it is free entry with no ticket required. Windyways will be  running a Vintage Spring Fair alongside the beer festival at the Rugby Ground. There will be 30 market stalls selling everything from Pet Accessories to Cakes from Plants to Jewellery plus there will be traditional fair ground rides including Target Golf, Fish Bowl, Ball in a Bucket, Hook a duck, Coconut shy and Buzzwire, which after a few real ales could be quite challenging. In addition to the Windyways Market we also have live music from Kato & Jo and Helen Walford playing through the day time.

Tickets for the evening session costs £12.50 plus booking fee these can be bought via the beer festival website www.macclesfieldbeerfestival.org. Saturday day session is free with no tickets required, just come down!

There are buses running from waters green Tavern to the festival for a small suggested donation of £3?

We hope to see you all down at this amazing festival that has been supporting local charities for more than 25 years!! We couldn’t do it without the support of the local community, our sponsors including the two main sponsors SAS Daniels and Big Brand Ideas as well as the volunteers  and Beer Festival Committee.
